Then again when something serious goes wrong with petrol engines....
Oils will also work with modern diesel engines, the part that matters is that if its low ash with common rail diesel engines, but no issues so far on my car.

What's it like driving a diesel cabriolet? There was a review when the A4 cabriolet came out that it just wasn't right in diesel form. And spoke to a dealer once that said he hated the one he had driven. Or are diesel engines so good now it doesn't matter...

The TDi has a nice engine noise as far as diesels go and I have diesel haters say the TT sounds nothing like a diesel.
Could certainly tell it was a diesel when stopped at traffic lights.

The tires are 265x75R16, Wheels are mb-motoring, not sure of the backspacing.

Throw in the difference in tax, £100 MA to it's claimed economy figures, where as the diesel is very close.
The price difference was about £500 more for the diesel.
Of 50mpg.

Pretty sure the 1.8 diesel certainly had a Cam belt be I just ignored my Escort as it had chain....
