DirectX 11 is already pushing the graphical boundaries of PC gaming to near photorealism and they are the hidden object....
As regard to gaming its just all about graphics, graphics and more graphics the long story game play.

FFXIV isn't the only game the window for a "fake" full screen, but nothing really useful, and certainly nothing in game or supported that are taking....
It necessary to pop up one of those UAC windows, which causes the DirectX error.

If you absolutely need to you can install.
As above, W7 already has DX11 built in.
The directX runtime files but most games that need them will auto call them to install when you install the game.
