Measles, scarlet fever, smallpox, whooping cough, cholera, typhus, diptheria were often fatal.
Some clergy were very helpful and often entered the cause of death in the burial registers...

I noticed that there are many people like me who are interested in epi in infectious diseases. So far I have no idea which MPH/MSPH/MS program has the best training on this specific track. It appeals to me that yale has a specific program on this topic...
