Is Wikipedia a good source?
Wikipedia could be a useful source of information if you read it with a grain of salt. Some articles are well-written with the citation of many valid sources, both primary and secondary, that you could check for accuracy for yourself. Some are horribly written and full of unfounded propaganda, conspiracy theories, sophomoric homework essays, and urban legends. If you are asking if citing an Wikipedia article would enhance the credibility of your opinion, then the answer is no. Wikipedia is hardly an authoritative source of information on its own.
