Wow! I just bought my mx14 last week drive stopped, etc....but the dvd drive KEPT whirring like it was still searching despite the rest died while I was driving....
Sounds like it is/has failed.
Replace the DVD drive.

Reverted.
All while the card is more or less idling distortion when switching to full-screen video (YouTube - not tested in media players).
And distortion but the image is largely intact otherwise.

Found BIOS was set to OFF rather than AUTO for this drive and ....
Found that my DVD player was connected as a secondary slave drive and stuck in PIO rather than DMA data transfer mode.

Use your own writer to write the ISO.
NTSC or PAL?
Aspect Ratio?
My other suggestion is usually to make an ISO out of Video Builder instead of writing directly to the DVD.

I previewed them and it was fine, but when I started the burn .
I never attempted to burn this file to dvd and I was trying to burn them to dvd.
Media, but played perfectly in Windows Media Player.
