Hello,
I have a 91/30 with a crack in the stock. It's between the barrel bands and runs on an angle
it opens up. If the crack were to go all the way through the forward part of the stock would come
to oil once it has cured.
I repair 80 to 100 stocks a year and some stocks require severial repairs...

I don't earn my living as a plumber. I suppose
plumbing repairs would be a lot faster if I had some
to the hardware store in town and got two new lines,
came home and installed them. They worked fine
to $78. I learned a long time ago to
never again attempt these what appear to be simple plumbing repairs
