I tried the toothpaste method, but I didn't work. There is a perfect circle in the middle of the cd which isn't allowing this game to work.

But if toothpaste didn't help, nothing probably will.
That's how I clean all my discs before I play them .
Normally I would say wash it with your dishes: soap and water .
So I took my car in to my local Indy and they charged me $837 for oil separator repairs, and new intake boot.. Is this a fair price?

$837 for those two jobs appears a bit high to me as both are DIY ....

The $35 fee wasn't for the trackball, service and repair....
DIY repairs will always save you money regardless of whether we're talking about phones, cars, home repairs etc.
