There is a knocking in the front of my car and I am guessing its the bushings. I just got my baby price? Can a guy with 0 car experience do this with all the DIY's on here? Also how much are jackstands ....look for good bushings also.... Pelican is good eats Jason hit him with the link for the diy

I just purchased a mk4 gti and there is a cluncking/clicking/knocking noise when I turn the wheel to replace, and you should do the bushings at the same time. There are some very good DIY's on here , just search in the DIY section.upper strut bearing or axle issue... how to tell? is the car making

Encouragement what so ever. Whatever i do, whatever it is, if its going to make me happy they try and knock it's diy livery, so assuming out during day and in at night but i have to find out more later when I share with another lady) but Wren costs about £150 every 7 odd weeks. This is DIY livery

I've recently noticed a knocking sound/feeling when at a stop. I can hear it in the cabin . The knocking occurs at even intervals, about every 3.5-4 seconds. Last night I popped the hood Could just be a bad motor mount causing the engine to knock against the body of the car.Quote

A bearing.? i thought it was a just a rattly VANOS but this knocking is coming from the bottom end and my Vanos. After the dyno run i had David check the knocking out. his opinion was that. may/could for the previouse generation of BM's to make a knocking sound at idle and its almost always the idler gear

Its knocking..I will say that I have a gutted air intake box with no screens in the intake . but will that make the engine knock at idle? could it be one of my pulleys? btw I made sure my plug wires were be the alternator..i have knocking at idle too..is yours an AT?does it sound like this? http

knocking on my ZRX 1100 when I throttle off or slow down. At tickover & at standstill its as smooth as anything. Not a clickety noise, a definate knock in the cam shaft area. Maybe need some earplugs this weekend, the knocking is definatly coming from the top of the rocker cover where the octopus is so
