HID will outperform Halogen The DIY I posted is really be the lens cover and I'll look....
There is a shield inside the projector, that cuts off the light at a certain point so as not to blind other drivers.
35watt setups are plenty.

I have the projector mounted (from the lens, not center of PJ) 185" from the wall (just measured the projector centered on the screen (and thus lens surface parallel to screen).
