You could then configure within.
You generally need server-side support for this; tools like dnsmasq can do it out of the box, it would updated both the DNS and reverse DNS for that IP address.

Note that while step 2 is fairly straightforward using dnsmasq, the difficult of step 1 can vary from 'trivial' to 'you need to reverse engineer the wireless drivers'.

No ZONE files, reverse syntax issues, and any.
It is less easy to redirect (optionally) handle DHCP server chores as well .
But if you ever have a project like this one again look into DNSMASQ.
