It had been sitting for about 2 years and I think someone had broken into it and tried to start it. The key does'nt fit into ignition switch easily. My real question is how does the ignition switch come out? I can get ignition to accept the key but not...

It's like I'm putting in a key for a differnt Ford vehicle and I'm tumblers at a parts store but ....
KimMG: I did try lubricating the lock, and while the key goes in a little easier, the ignition won't turn.
Try lubricating the lock.

I just thought I hated Fords until I had to DRIVE ONE EVERY DAY! ugghh looking for the radio fuse and the fuse box is in the most awkward spot there is no fuse diagram and there is a million other things I hate about this truck... Sorry just venting

That's the same thing everyone else is saying, that truck is barely broken in. And then I came across this one today. 2001 7.3 140k miles for only $5400. This entire truck shopping process is makng me bipolar, I'm so confused.

I bought a 2008 F250 crew cab, long box diesel and other than a couple of minor issues I love it. Tows my race trailer like it isn't even there.
If I use the remote to unlock the doors then everything works as it should, no alarm.
