I have a 94 YJ. Full door locks do not work from outside. I ordered door lock rods and lock levers from Quadratec. Mopar Parts. They do not match what I can see after removing the inside door skins. For example the old rods are approximately 3 and a quarter...

I found that the clip where it attaches to the lock lever....
I had to remove the inside panel of the door and see what was happening to see it..
When you unlock the door with the key, does it not pull the release all the way over?....

Xl doors to xlt with power locks and Windows
Obviously I'm thinking about converting my 97 xl to power doors, does the harness have a plug in for these? Figured I would ask before buying the parts to do this

The drivers door harness runs for the locks window and courtesy lights in the truck harness that runs from the dash harness to the door harness on the drivers....
You will need both door harnesses.
The wiring is not in the truck.

If required, we hit the master unlock button....
Ours are set to unlock only the driver's door.
Enter the 5 digit FACTORY code the driver's door or all doors.
You can deactivate the "auto-lock" feature at the door keypad.

My toddler is still in crib for now but thinking ahead when he gets in a toddler bed, I think I want to put a little lock on the outside of his door so he doesnt go wandering. any ideas if anyone is using?

Easy the door....
Ended up being a corroded connector in the door causing the micro switch in the lock to not work...
With the drivers door, so even if you had opened the door it would re-lock after a few mins....

I've got an 88' Ramcharger that cannot be unlocked from the outside of the driver door, and has a tailgate lock that doesn't work at all. Would it be best to just buy cheap replacement locks from autozone for the doors, and try to fix the tailgate myself...

As for the door locks, since the ignition and front doors all use the same key you can take the lock cylinder itself and have into the lock....
To take the liftgate lock to a good locksmith and get a key made for it.

I just acquired an 1998 F150 XLT with electric door locks. However there were no remote door lock fobs with the keys. How do I find out if the truck is equipped for the remote locks and it not equipped, can I add this feature?
