Can you see this red dot from that viewing distance?
Is it visible enough that it bothers you from your normal viewing ambiguity....

If you got the HENELSK1 kit you'll need a somewhat beefy wall wart supplies .
My best score was two working ~5mW red's and a working lab style PSU for $1.73 that doesn't show a lot of plasma.

I've of the time (maybe 30-40%).
It sounds like your situation isn't full-daylight, so I'd go with the Panasonic VT or GT series plasma.
In my mind plasma is the go-to choice with the single exception of a very bright room.

The on-screen icon timeout option was introduced for very good reason - it can cause a permanent mark burnt in to plasma displays.
So what do you do? Put a permanent red button in the F1 Logo which cannot be removed. Just how stupid is that???
