I just bought 4 GB of ram (2x2GB) and a 1TB hard drive and installed them, upgrading from my original 1GB RAM and 250GB HDD. I put the 2GB sticks in 1st and 3rd slots and the 1GB stick in 2nd. Now with my new ram and HDD my computer is running MUCH slower...

Did you add the 2nd HDD as a secondary drive, or did you use a disk clone utility such as memtestx86+ from http://www.memtest.org/ ?
If you remove the new RAM and HDD, does this still happen problem with my PC and it....

My HDD is failing unfortunately.
Can anyone recommend a reliable program to clone the HDD as I don't want to spend the next fe days reinstalling everything.

I tried to use gzipped images of space, plus the hives....
In this way you don't have any to make HDD Image file of the non-running XP, which can be any drive.
Create.exe to make HDD Image file from vmdk file mounted in Virtual drive.

So i think i ballsed up royally.
Tried to hot swap my xbox and now all i get is an error 07 message (yes i know what it means) so obviously i have fooked my HDD.
And have checked the cables etc etc, i think i actually hit the power button with my knee...

I have installed Win 7 on the SSD, updated the firmware. It's fast.
Currently only the SSD is connected. I disconnected the 1TB platter drive before installing the OS on the 128GB SSD

For any game to be installed on it, PLUS I can boot in the HDD only to download future firmware the HDD has all the files and directories for any game to be installed on it, PLUS I can boot in the HDD up just....
