A question for you eventers. Do you take dressage lessons from a dressage trainer or from your event trainer? Just curious as it seems that many eventers go to a "dressage person" for their dressage instruction.

Western Dressage acknowledges and will follow the training tree and the same progression any good dressage trainer....
As we see regular dressage - jog and lope are suppose to be a more "collected" gait, but hopefully NOT mean no contact.

There was actually a great article I read recently (I think it was in Dressage Today, but I could, their breeding program has centered around producing fantastic dressage horses, using amazing jumper lines! I completely agree with this.
Which stallions have both a high dressage and a high jumping index? If you happen to know if they have well known offspring in both rings or even one ring, who are the offspring?

In recent years, breeders tend to specialize, IMO again.
Stallions can score well in both jumping and dressage but they tend to attract either jumping mares or dressage mares, IMO.

Had finding a mouthpiece thats dressage legal for Fabio thats a close match to his PeeWee! I'm bradoons are dressage legal though as long as they are not ported.
