If i hard boil a shop bought egg and then peel it, the shell comes away cleanly, but if I hard boil an egg from one of our own chickens it is not as clean to peel and often some of the white comes away with bits of shell. Does anybody know why? Thanks...

If you struggle with poached eggs they are worth....
I got them from morrisons.
Another important point is to use very fresh eggs, eggs get 'runnier' as they get older an eggI have little poached egg pods which are really good.

This might sound dumb but is it safe to drink raw eggs? I'm really getting tired of constantly cooking them and cleaning the damn pans!!
