I'm not quite sure how this works, but right now, I'm ripping all of my CDs before I put them in storage, and I've got a 2011 iMac, PowerBook G4 12" and 1st-gen eMac (700Mhz) all ripping at them. For some reason, the eMac registers the highest ripping...

I have for sale my old Apple eMAC...
specs are:
- Power PC G4 1.25ghz
- 256mb DDR Ram (upgradable to 2gb)
- 40gb HDD
- Airport Extreme card installed
- Combo drive (dvd/cd-rw)
- Apple keyboard and mouse
- Usb 2.0
It is all working fine and currently...

INSTALL/RESTORE CDs?
They are machine specific.
Upgrade chain from earlier OS 9.2.1 version will not work, the eMac
chokes ...

eMac owner has got back to me: his eMac came with Mac OS X
10.2.4 on a DVD, and no sign of a separate with an eMac model of the same generation, or a newer one
which still included a bootable copy of Mac OS 9.2.2.

It is a 700 MHz eMac, Nvidia card, GeForce2 MX.
Descent II will not work in classic, it can't "find" the CD. Had a G4
Cube until I accidently bricked it screwing up a firmware update...

I have a highly upgraded 9600 that has a pioneer DVD burner on an ata/66 card. It has no trouble seeing DVDs but I'd sort of like it to play them. Anyone done this? Computers I have at least 1 of: 128k, 512k, 512ke, Plus, SE, SE/30, Classic, Color Classic...

Computers I have at least 1 of: 128k If you're trying to use the Apple CD/DVD extension with a DVD-RW drive, I do not think that works the DVD....
The DVD drive was original equipment on a G4 Mac.
And Nubus cards.

For Windows, many of the sysinternal tools.
To use the USB e: instead of the hard drive c: MinGW , for GCC, G++ and added GDB, maybe MSYS when.
