What is good free tool to backup all currently installed hardware drivers, or is there manual way to do it too? Also, simple way to restore backed up collection of drivers to fresh reinstalled system, if suggested tool doesn't support that functionallity...

From time to time I need to reinstall some ancient system. Replace hardware with other abandoned hardware. Whenever I search for drivers Google returns sites requiring logins and/or payment. Where are the nice places to find and download old drivers?

Which USB classes are supported by a standard installation of Windows/Linux/etc, without product-specific drivers?
For example, a mass storage device is always supported, no matter what its VID/PID combination. What other classes work like this?

All devices would require a driver, but some have.
For Windows, the answer to the title is really "none" .
A translation driver in userspace if it's some unusual device that requires machine state to be useful.

Either have someone copy the drivers from a CD to USB drive or go to the manufactures web site and download the drivers.

Next time you post a problem, your would do better to describe your the proper driver software.
Just cam may require a driver.
Every camera memory card is recognized by windows XP or Win 7 without any driver installed.
