Is there any way to force windows to recheck all devices against drivers in its database (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\DevicePath) and update to the latest drivers available? Something similar to what sysprep does when ...

You should be able to find it through to Device Manager .
If you have a Dell then Dell do a driver update package that will check all the Dell drivers and update them to the latest versions.
There is no generic method.

Has anyone used Driver Robot and if so is it any good. Just trying to find a quick and easy way to find all the out of date, critical drivers I need for all the PC's I have lying around here.

I just tried it out.
Just to be clear Driver Robot is not free.
Question wise.

Hi there,
I have a Dell laptop issued by my employer, and I always find it a real pain to search for, download and maintain their drivers. It baffles me that there does not seem to be a nice way (product, website, ...) to just download the stuff you need...

Also on cost: the official VMWare conversion tool was free (legally free, not free-with-five-fingered-discount) last time I used it IIRC, so I would imagine of the requirements, or instead....
