Vista has just got to go ... I'm backed up to an external and my plan is to install a new fresh drive and install Win 7 from scratch. Good plan ? What are the gotcha's ?
I have the OS, a spare caddy and a fresh drive. FWIW - The caddy was previously used...

Ok so after an windows update killing my computer i've reinstalled the OS on a new hard drive
now my game has some graphic issues
ships and stations are missing bits
and the start new/continue game menu plus some stations in game have extra bits

See if there is a newer....
If the chkdsk is clear then you would next have to consider your graphics card driver.
That you chose the correct card, interface and Vista x32 OS details during the choice of driver options it is working.

There's a difference in the listings, with the XP boot being much simpler looking .
Read through Windows.
From Vista and above, but I was thinking it was with the 64-bit versions only...

I'm another one of the folks that reformatted my computer and now the speakers don't work. The device manager reports Code 28. Here is a list of the specs. I'm not sure what info you'll require so I'll submit it all. Thanks in advance for any advice offered...

Well when i had nvidia drivers v182.51 it worked then i decided to update my video drivers to 185.85 the game now goes to black screen for a few seconds then crashes to desktop with the prototype has stop working.

(I'm fairly sure it uses the same driver as Win XP/Vista)
Sounds to me more like your firewire (1394) port/adapter requires a driver update.
Your camera is compatible with Win 7.
