A friend of mine gave me her ipod. I have downloaded itunes, but my computer nor itunes will recognize my ipod. Can someone help me? I believe the ipod is a ipod classic.

Hi, running windows 7 64 bit and itunes 9.0.2.25. works well with old ipod and ancient shuffle but new ipod video generates 'can detect but not identify ipod'. On an XP machine the ipod works fine with the latest version of itunes.
