So i got a new laptop a few weeks ago and did a clean install of windows to get rid of all the bs hp adds in(100gb of space).
went to use skpye last night and my webcam isnt detected.... figures.
when i was re installing drivers i didnt see any drivers...

I have recently upgraded my system to Windows 7 64bit and i'm having trouble finding drivers for my Lenovo webcam.
I've tried the drivers available from lenovo; none work. I've scoured the internet to no avail

Finally - in my own experience....
I went to the lenovo website and downloaded the latest Vista drivers and those didn't work either.
I plugged my webcam in and Windows wasn't able to automatically install proper drivers for it.

Hi,
I have a laptop that was running Vista with skype installed. The built in webcam worked fine for long time. But then stopped working.
Subsequently install Windows 7 on the laptop and it worked as well for a while.
I went into the Tools, Options, Video...

Also, after and Hibernate as many webcam drivers do not correctly implement the various power-saving modes.
If you cannot find a Windows 7 driver, a Vista driver may work.
To be unreliable at best.

Well the webcam needs a driver if it won't work at all, make and the driver wouldn't install? It's possible that was to a different version/bitsize.
