What do we do with drug abusers?
I think doctors should be able to prescribe "maintenance doses" to addicts like they did before the days of prohibition. This kind of treatment has shown great results in many European countries.

Am I the only one who finds the drug use threads annoying?
The lounge is home to silly and immaturity, that is why I guess why people even hang here. I mean copycat threads, thread that will never die, and clever jokes is the kind of silliness that makes the lounge a great place.

Lesson learned with swine flu?
Given the history of the lawmakers in this state, it is no surprise they are not prepared for the possibility of a pandemic. They have failed to enact a felony drink driving law, long overdue, it's out of control. The only reason they want to make a tougher seat belt law is because it will get them money from the federal Government. During the last blizzard they failed to close the roads during white out conditions and people were killed. Doesn't make sense to plow a road and have it drift in behind the plow in five minutes. They have no concern for the safety of the public. About all they do is look for ways to raise fees to the public.

Positive changes in adults with ADD due to meds?
I would like to know if any of those who have had a positive experience with medication are primarily Inattentive type ADD. I keep reading these marvellous stories about changes from medication but they seem to always be from those who exhibit hyperactive symptoms or traits at least of the combined type. I've never had any luck with medications myself although I have been consistently diagnosed as having ADD - Inattentive. There's much I can and have done without medications, but boy would I like that sudden focusing and calming some of you report.
