Pre-Drywall Inspection - Did anyone get it?
I ditto the suggestion for pre drywall inspections. Most of the time people hire me, its after the foundation has been done. I usually do a framing inspection just before the drywall is put up. Most everything has been roughed in and then I don't come back until its done.
If the house is close to my office, or other jobs, I will try to swing by periodically just to check on stuff. It costs my clients very little since I am in the area anyway, and I can set my own time. Obviously when I have set time and date, I have to charge more because "it's a time slot".
As far as digital photos go, I have never had an issue come up in any of the "expert witness" cases I have worked. Any photograph can be manipulated with the right equipment and skill. Not once has any attorney or court called into question the use of digital photographs. Digital signatures are even accepted in court cases.

Do I need to repair drywall missing paper before retiling?
I just cut away as much grout as I could with a razor, then used a putty knife and hammer to pry the tiles off. Came off pretty easily, it just ripped the top layer of paper off the drywall.

Is it less expensive to put up a high quality paneling or drywall?
If you can do the paneling yourself, then that's probably the way to go. Paying someone to hang and finish the drywall will bring the cost up to the price of the paneling, and you will still only have drywall !

What is cheaper to install in my basement a suspended ceiling or drywall ceiling?
Drywall is cheaper, but may not be the best for your situation. Ceilings with removable panels are best in areas where one needs access to electrical or plumbing.

Drywall ceiling over plaster?
I did mine in my kitchen over 10 years ago and no cracks. I measured for the studs and then way, way over screwed it. I must have missed a few because I do have a few popped heads. If I was to do it again I would use a construction adhesive and less screws.
