Can't say about travel from Abu Dhabi to Dubai , but since you have 7-10 days, why don't you have two bases- Abu Dhabi and Dubai? That way you can also enjoy Dubai by night, such as going to the Burj Khalifa at night or going to Burj al Arab , or a cruise...
