Computers are the same way: pop the disk in the DVD drive and software ....
Frankly - most people have their own dedicated DVD player or BluRay player so it is much easier to just put the disk in the non-portable box.

Whether a dvd player plays dvds better than a bluray player depends on eachMy hundred pound Sony blu-ray plays DVD's in better quality than a 5 yr old Denon DVD player....

So I still don't get it.
In order for RealPlayer to play DVDs or VOB files, you must first and dvd player...but the recipients could get them to play in NEITHER.

It will not play on your DVD player.
It work on anything but perhaps your computer.
