For ripping, the bottleneck is the speed of the DVD drive, and the main CPU usage is directing the data traffic from the DVD drive to the hard drive.
Basically, it's not that sort of task.

Since that's something that can be resolved by a firmware or AVIDemux to rip the movie to h.264 mp4 or to mpeg4 avi .

Do a quick Google search and you'll find that the US has a law that states that it is illegal to make, sell, or give away software that helps you rip DVD's. Ripping DVD's is legal, but you need to use software to do it.
