I have the same thing! it may be eaustachian tube dyfunction which gives similar symptons, but like you mine just starte out of the blue and my hearing is still fine so i have no idea, but try lookijng into the tube dysfunction thing as thats what i think...

I have a slight problem as when people talk to me I cannot hear them and sometimes I hear the wrong thing, usually something that rhymes with what they are actually saying. Please help as i do not know what to do and am only 17 and am embarassd of asking...

In the past, whenever I've used headphones, (not a lot) I listen to AKG K240, Sennheiser HD600 or Stax or Koss electrostats..
I love deep tight bass and crystal clear, if not slightly exaggerated highs.
However, the time has come to try some good in-ear...
