Lately I've been thinking about real world examples of Harper type songs. These would be songs that are meant to commemorate an historical event or educate, but not on a basic level.

I have what may be a regular gig at a senior home. It'll be pretty low key I think; there are only 14 residents, age 65-97. It's practically a free gig, but I see it as an opportunity to work on putting together a songbook in a relaxed environment.
