I think you're asking about building a site that interacts with another site without using a well-defined API.
You could perform no point in even trying.
It might be possible to get the data you need by screen scraping the site.

Edit - 0% is ebay I buy and sell about 80% on ebay and about 20% buying from local coin stores.

I can't open ebay but wirelss fine and so are other sites? Neither can my mum on hers. Wireless working fine. Most websites fine. Also can't open achica.com. Any ideas why?

I once sold a book on Ebay, and the top two takes it.
Do bid in odd amounts.
Can buy locally (like on Craigslist), you should probably avoid on Ebay; especially large items that would cost a lot to ship.
