I think you're asking about building a site that interacts with another site without using a well-defined API.
You could perform no point in even trying.
It might be possible to get the data you need by screen scraping the site.

I don't believe this is a new ebay add on, I think this is malware that's been planted on our computers and only shows up when we're on ebay so that it looks like it's part of ebay.
