Are the current ebook readers good enough for reading programming books (containing diagrams, source-code, screenshots, and so on)? How good are the search functions or the possibilities to set bookmarks, to use a book as a reference?
I'd like to hear...

I do use.
I can't compare it with other ebook readers because it's the only one I've used.

I would start here: MSDN C# Programming Guide
and Wikibooks C# Programming If you are experienced with .NET Framework already and want to move to C#, IMHO the best book would be this one, since it doesn't waste your time on re-explaining the programming... .

Does anyone have any recommendations for a nice ebook reader for tech books?
Ideally something 8.5 x 11 or so, in color...
I guess a TabletPC is the best option for now?

Bam! You've got the perfect....
A Tablet PC which works very well (in slate mode) as an eBook reader: it's got face buttons that are conveniently if necessary.
8.5x11 seems pretty big for an ebook reader.
Not 8.5x11, but the Kindle is nice.

I want to build a basic Social networking site in Rails. Can you please suggest me some ebooks for that or any web resource.
Thanks
Answer Snippets (Read the full thread at stackoverflow):
Practical ROR Social networking....
But if your looking for something specific it would be great if you could list some of your requirements .
It focuses on Rails 1.1 or 1.2 but I'm sure you'll be able to get rolling with that book .
