I have had serious worries that I picked the wrong secondary school for my son, who started last September, but as all other school are full and with waitinglists, there is nothing I can do at the moment. However, the lack of homework is driving me mad...

(Incidentally - i hated school homework.
I daresay if you look you would find a few actual 'homework' books too.
I think too much homework....
We never had homework....well i can probably count it on one hand.
I started to answer a question, then stopped because it looks like a homework assignment. What is the proper etiquette/response? Downvote the question?

I was lazy though.
I help him the concept, the homework isn't going to help.
Frequently with my son, if he has homework in each subject it can be a two to three hour job.
We never got homework at primary school and when i got to highschool I used to brush it off night after night, i honestly dont know how i made it through lol - just crammed b4 the exams i think, I would'nt have made it thru the ncea system they have now...

Unless of course it's homework that can be directly related to reinforce those concepts.
Skipping a week of homework isn't I wouldn't worry too much about it.
It's 3rd grade, nothing that'll be on your college applications .
Well, what do you think? I'm sure everyone will probably say yes, but why do you think it should? I hated homework in high school personally. Especially if I didn't understand the subject to begin with. But then I loved homework in college. Go figure....
