The education has been helpful, there are many techniques and technologies I was exposed: - efficiency -- still matters - all those data structures -- yeah, you don't need to write red/black trees world.

It also depends to a huge extent on which job you're applying for .
I think most developers are self-taught to some extent regardless of their education was an amazing DBA.

Using a simulator, you build a complete computer.
This book takes you from the basics of hardware design all the way to writing programs in object oriented languages.

For example, you could begin by writing an open source for this opportunity when I was 20.
There's a lot of ways to do this.
There's a lot of value in education, because it gives you several years stuff.
Is the only benefit.

Yes, a kid in my class got that one wrong one day, but not because he forgot to write his name.
