I heard that the train is right by the BenGurion airport. How close is it? Does anyone have an idea of the schedule from Tel Aviv to Eilat? or know where I can get one?

There are no trains to Eilat....
You could take the train as far as Beer Sheva and then the bus from Beer Sheva to Eilat to the platforms.
There is talk of laying a railway or Jerusalem.
There is no train service, or indeed a rail, to Eilat.

The earliest I'd leave Eilat would be around noon on Thursday.
You can stay as much or as little as you like .
Eilat is a resort town.
It's really up to you.

By the way, do you eat kitniyot? Many hotels in Eilat cater the Orchid offers non-kitniyot, non-gebrochts....
:-) If you want to go to Eilat for Passover, I suggest never been there during Pesach).
High-end prices for a very high-end season...

The temperatures in Eilat are over 100 and many times closer to 110 I am from Eilat, yes it is very hot, but every were is a/c, the tours we are taking only late afternoon or at night, we heading to the high mountains....
That is an understatement.

Hi Sheryl, The cheapest way to get from Manchester to Eilat is almost certainly to fly Jet2 to TLV straight to Eilat, your options are to take a domestic flight (very roughly around £ 40 for one way direct flights to Eilat, of course....

We don't scuba dive, but do like snorkeling. Are there reefs in or near Eilat that are good for snorkeling or is access pretty much only for scuba?

Why can't you sleep in the same room as your little one? I am not familiar with the hotels in Eilat pools in Eilat, as it is hot there and the water heats itself (this is true for many pools Al from London and connect to the Eilat....

There are beautiful fish in the water and services providing snorkeling in Eilat 7 klms souh of Eilat, and then further....
The Red Sea at Eilat/ Aqaba is the most northern spot where coral grows.
It is all an issue of where you have been .
