I may be buying a clean 1997 Outback with the beginnings of a head gasket problem. I have a scruffy 1996 Brighton with a strong running 2.2, I was wondering how to make one car from these two. I understand the quad cam 2.5s have dual exhaust port heads...

I've been toying with the idea of doing a walk through on the EJ25s for awhile and was wondering if there is any want for something like that? Would it be a good addition to the USRM? Since I do at least one a week at work, I was thinking about documenting...

I got heads back from machine shop after valve job and surfacing. Put camshaft back in first head and put cap on - no rockers. I lubed journals with assembly lube. At this point, I remember the camshaft turning pretty easily - but this one took some effort...

I'll definitely.
I suspect that the head bolt torque specs have got to be different for these newer double layered head gaskets.
NOT replace the water pump, as previous owner said he did it a year ago .
