No nope it's just what you want it to look like .
Source(s): I have had both types of ranges Easier to keep clean, which is a huge benefit for me .
The smooth top looks more sleek, shiny and modern and is easier to keep clean .

The shock is due to electrical signals (from the monitor) flowing through your body.

If it 'sizzled' it would burn out and die; but, before that it would trip the power and shutdown .
Have not heard the sound yet but I am very certain that the ' CPU ' -- as in the processor chip -- does not make any sound .
