I'm in the process of fitting a mk4 golf header coolant tank to my mk2 and need to swap the pins in the electrical plug for the tank (level sender). Before I damage anything is there a knack to pushing the pins out of the plastic connectors and refitting...

Some times i use two pieces of solid wires which have been ground at the edjes to become sharp there will normally be a couple of small tangs on something like this which stop... .
I don't think you are going to be able to remove the pins with a screwdriver .

I have 2 problems with my golf cab that its lost the power supply to the radio and the roof switch also the buzzer doesnt sound when the lights are left on i have changed the ignition switch and also checked for continuity at both points and still i csnt...

Could be the barrel itself has gone unfortunatly! but first check the thin brown/red wire to the ignition switch, thats your key-in-ignition live for radio and roof .
