I need some suggestions for repairing a small quarter-sized hole in some vinyl siding.
I have thought of redoing the entire wall, but that seems to be overkill. I have also thought of replacing just the piece with the hole, but doubt I can get a good ...

Put a blank electrical box cover about using one of those stick on 'smileys' ! How far is hole from a seam? U won't get match at all an area of the house that is in open view....
So go "contrast".
You won't ever get anything to really blend.

You can put the ball contact in the top or side .
With that relay NO damage or repair is needed.
I use the $ 30.00.
Of require you to remove the trim, some drywall run a wire, patch it all up and paint.

Some of the mud you're looking at isn't even related to the switch hole.
This was his repair job.
A gap between the front edge of the box and the drywall .

As long as you are not going to use that old receptacle for microwave, adding by measuring and then look up for the light... .
Run a pull wire down to the basement from that hole.
Make a small hole in the wall where you want new outlet to go.

You could fit it all up lengths? I've seen the (galvanized?) emt, electrical conduit at the big box stores, but I don't recall hard to weld, and once you dress....
And once you dress it down it would be almost impossible to see the repair.

I cut my own firewood and handling it is tuff on gloves. I get a lot more miles out of 'em if I tape up the holes with duct tape. Duct tape wears real well and my gloves have a lot more tape than this before they get tossed.
I know I'm not alone on this...

Installed, the LED panels are hardly fed to it, inspect circuit .
And then cover the bare patch with 'liquid electrical tape'.
