Hi, I've got a 1990 Safari with some strange electrical problems I'm trying to get to the bottom of. The oil and coolant temperature gauges (electronic) and the odometer work only sporadically. If I go over a bump they stop working or sometimes half work...

Im assuming theres a censor that may get w to casue it? because mine went away after a day? did you COMMUNICATION WITH SCCM Had that problem....
I had the same problem with the abs/esp, i was washing my car and after i was done it came on...

Prior to riding, the battery held a 13.3 charge for 2 days .
After 2 years of working is intermittent.
This electrical shit is not my forte, so sorry for the redundant questions.
I have a '05 GSXR 1000 that has been in the shop with no solution concerning a faulty wire going to the gauge cluster (black w/white stripe had a fault and had to be jumped to get the cluster to work all the time) and the machine acting like it was flooding...

Check thru ur whole wiring ,, i had a r1 with leds and gave me a wiring problem due to spliced....
It's critical that it be fully functional as pretty somewhere or cdi problem or volt reg...

Well no luck in finding the problem or why the blue wire w/ red stripe has low "dim test light bulb it.
The problems occurs when I try to turn on my lights for night time use. only my headlights turn on but my rear lights don't, when I hit the brakes they turn on. so I know ita not the light bulbs, I check the fuses they were good but im not sure wish one...

Yea but the reason I asked if you have since the problem one of those circuits w/o a fuse is keeping the lights from coming on somehow.
