Hi ladies,
I am trying to make one of those felt stocking kits...I am sure you know the ones!
I have a question. I just started and am working on attaching a piece to the stocking front and it lays against the edge. Am I just supposed to do an embroidery...

Anne Jo verso books are very good for borders, i've used them before .
Try searching for Jo Verso as I think she's done a lot of that sort of book .
There are lots of source books out these with designs for borders, motifs, alphabets, etc .

I have a commercial embroidery machine, but I have no idea how to make patches on it.
Is there a special backing that you use?
How do you cut the patches out after you sew them?
Any advice would be appreciated.

Talk to your embroidery machine manufacturer on here and ordered the patch kit from them.
