We had 7 eggs collected and 5 fertilized, today got to the clinic for the embryo transfer and found out that currently day 5 there was only one viable ! is it jsut me or have others felt so dissapointed, I cried for what seemed hours ?

Hi
Can anyone tell me if they went back to work after embryo transfer and if not how long did you take off.
The first time I took 2 weeks off but this time i am not gonna be able to that as I don't have any holidays left to take.

If you only transfer one embryo, then for twins to be IVF then they would have to genetically identical and have the same DNA (the embryo splits, thus having identical twins).

Hi. I did ivf in July & I had minor cramping from 3 days after through at least 5 days after. I'm now 33 weeks pregnant :) So, I'm not sure how severe your cramping is, but don't lose hope, ok?! It could be your embryo Cea (s) burrowing in & attaching...

This is my second IVF (first ended in a chemical at 6.5 weeks). I'm 33 and have a low AMH. DH has morphology issues.
We have 8 fertilized embryos growing as of this morning (day 3) and will be doing a day 5 transfer on Friday.

My doctor advised doing a single embryo transfer or poor embryo quality, RE's might swing those patients more towards transferring 2 or more.

FET - Oct/Nov (hopefully) 2010 I was the one who set up the Snowbabies/Frozen Embryo Transfer thread and we had 5 embryo so 2 Embryo transfer on day 3 and BFN !
