Every game tutorial and game framework (even the rather new XNA framework) start off with a never ending loop that has an equivalent of DoEvents() to prevent the OS from locking up.
Comming from a non-game based perspective I feel this kind of code smells...

If the endless loop is caused by an endless redirect, it will sooner or later terminate that request with StackOverflowException.

What if you made a loop with overlapping tails? Yes you can do that, but it's hard to do in a double braid end.
You wouldn't be able to make a short loop.
But those splices all have very long buries.

Does playing DMC 3 H.D on easy put you in an endless easy loop like in DMC 1 H.D? I wasted hours on DMC 1playing on easy before realizing that I was going to be in an endless easy loop. IS DMC 3 different? I don't want to make the same mistake again.
