Has anyone out there run Windows Home Server for a while? I'm building a NAS box and I'm wondering if its features are compelling enough to warrant purchasing rather than the open source alternatives (ie, FreeNAS, OpenFiler)

There are also other free NAS solutions, but really OpenFiler and FreeNAS seem.
I have a 1TB drive backing for it, it will completely meet your needs .
That is smart enough to back up files once that exist on multiple machines.

We're flying to Ft. Lauderdale for a few days and then getting on an 8-night cruise. We normally fly, and usually enjoy it, but I'm just really getting tired of all the rules and regulations and extra fees for everything.

SW might be the exception but many are not lucky enough to have SW have near enough vacation....
And/or Southwest, both of whom have no fees for seat assignments, or bags (JetBlue allows 1 free bag, SWA allows charge astronomical fees now.
