When people talk about protecting the enviroment they are really talking about protecting themselves. Nature is a very powerful force and wont hesitate in killing us off very quickly if we push too hard. Climate change is a natural occurrence and if mankind attempts to influence he will learn a very valuable lesson whilst drawing their last few breaths. This dose not mean go ahead and pour paint down the drain but a sensible approach is all that's needed. Emission Trading is the get rich quick scheme of this century and will have zero impact on climate change. source

Despite being in construction and needing to haul around plenty of tools, I bought a hybrid car that is vastly superior on gas mileage. All my tools do fit in it, and as a bonus I get to hear the other guys complain about gas prices and needing to fill up every three to four days, while I do so every two weeks for half the price they do for one fill up. source

As a person, living in this world we are responsible about the things that surrounds us. For me, the simplest thing that i can do is not to throw any garbage anywhere and lessen the pollution by using safe fuel. source

Strange, I see it as the opposite- environmental policies tend to be hardcore free-market fixes trying to shift external costs off of the public and onto the actors actually choosing to incur those costs. Unregulated pollution is an affront to the free market. source

Otherwise it's the worst kind of wage slavery, the kind from which there is no good escape. To do otherwise is to acknowledge that the poor must be kept poor. source
