I hearken back to an old essay by Joel and working with other people.
The points about Map-Reduce and Google are bang-on.
Even though not exactly an essay and somewhat outdated, I always liked/studying.
But still remains true today.

Use the distributive property to eliminate the parentheses:
-8x^2 - 8x - 4 +2x^2 + 7x - 3
Combine like terms:
-6x^2 - x - 7 omg im doing the exact same thing in math
but here it is -8 x 2= -16 8x -4=-32 -16--32= 16
-2x2=-4 7x3=21 -4-21= -24
16--24= 30... .
