I recommend using a real estate agent and buy a home inventory, I'd recommend you look at the REO (Real Estate Owned) section of a bank's website.

I suggest finding a good real estate agent in your area (or the area you look to buy if not local) and posing.
Real estate is very local.
You want rather than overpaying/losing it to a fellow bidder .
