To the wise, it's really difficult to make money on Etsy unless you can advertise somehow or have a productI think the website automatically calculated taxes based on where you live.

The impression I've been getting from reading the Etsy help and forum is that taking....
I like the convenience myself.
You will need either a credit card or PayPal account to pay your Etsy Fees by credit card.
Etsy's rule is on that.

The best piece of advice I think I could give would be that you have to KNOW how much money you need to make and you have to KNOW how much money you make in your shop down to the last detail all expenses, overhead, taxes....

Just had an etsy sale today....but i do a number of different things marketing your stuff takes and taking time! Hello! While Etsy is a great place to sell, it does have a "down time" that I have noticed over the last few years.

Can anyone tell me how sales tax works? I dont mean the taxes that I am obligated to pay on earnings, I mean the sales tax on items sold.
Am "I" supposed to add those in or does Etsy and if so - does it tell the customer the cost of the tax?

And after....
You set up time you list you will be prompted to "apply sales tax" if applicable, and Etsy will automatically add the charge.
Of that up on Etsy, but first you must get set up by your state to collect the sales tax.

Personally, I would not rely on either one for views .
Instead, Etsy is focusing on ads that will make up for that deficit.
For $7 you can renew 35 items and garner a lot more views that way or put that money toward.
