Just curious what the best form of money when traveling to Europe.
If I were to vacation in Europe, what form of money should I bring?
I dont have a credit card to use.
Should I bring cash?
Get travelers checks?
Any suggestions from you world travelers...

I went to Europe for a month and went to 7 different....
That way you don't have to deal with exchange rates .
Bring your ATM card and withdraw money and withdraw as you need it .
I just came from Europe.

Over the last few years the dollar has lost value against the euro and the British pound, making travel to Europe increasingly expensive for Americans. What do you do to cut costs and get a better exchange rate when you travel to Europe?

Calgary to Manchester, UK - $399 roundtrip after taxes - cheapest ever to Europe? Except for a few mistake fares ($100 to Spain anyone?) I think this is one of the cheapest flights from Western Canada to Europe of all time.

PS. Do I need to book a return flight in and out of London to get in ok on a tourist visa? It would be better if I could book one way to London, then one way train to France, that way I could book the flight closer to the date when I know if I want to...

Think you should include Venice - it is amazing but social life going from London to Paris then to Belgium, you should definitely stay at least one night in Lille.
