Is there a book that describes the design and evolution of C similiar to the book 'The Design and Evolution of C++' by Bjarne Stroustrup ?

Certainly no book like Stroustrup's would have been written at the time—though some might well have been written ... .
Also available as html.
Don't know of any books, but Dennis Ritchie has written a paper called The Development of the C Language (PDF) .

The single advantage to Evoluton familiar with Thunderbird.

I am running Ubuntu 9.04 and I would like to setup Gnome Evolution to read my mail/calendar from our Exchange 2007 server.

I have had it working....
I know there is a new plugin for Evolution in Ubuntu Jaunty called evolution-mapi (install with "apt-get evolution-mapi" from the command line) which is supposed to add native MAPI support to Evolution.

If your evolution-backup.tar.gz backup is not big in size (assuming 1-3 mb) then you server.
Which means that all the messages stay on the remote mail server and get loaded into Evolution when you email itself.

You have to install the Exchange plugin for Evolution:
pkcon install evolution-exchange
After this you can choose Microsoft Exchange as server type when creating a new Evolution mail account in in the Mailbox field....
