Is there a book that describes the design and evolution of C similiar to the book 'The Design and Evolution of C++' by Bjarne Stroustrup ?

Don't know of any books, but Dennis Ritchie has written a paper called The Development of the C.

Ubuntu has as default email-client Evolution. However, a lot of people I know are using Thunderbird instead, without really being able to explain why. If you for example look here on Superuser, the tags thunderbird:evolution are 8:1.
